ATTRACTIONS
Think Collingwood and The Blue Mountains are just for skiing? Think again! Collingwood is a beehive of activity throughout the spring, summer, and fall months, with much of it centered just minutes away from our cottages at the Blue Mountain Resort.
The Blue Mountain Resort has quickly grown from a sleepy ski resort to one the largest all purpose resorts in North America.
Even when the hills are not covered with snow there is plenty to do for a weekend getaway or extended vacation, including the new Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster and Cascade Putting Course.
Other favourites include downhill mountain biking, a wide selection of eateries and nightlife, along with the always popular Monterra tennis and golf.
The Monterra course is one of six local golf courses, with the Collingwood area quickly becoming one of Ontario’s favourite golfing destinations. The Blue Mountains are also remarkable for their proximity to a number relatively quiet fishing spots and beautiful beaches, including Cragleigth Beach and West Wing Beach – the best of cottage leisure living, both within 5 kilometers of Royal Blue Chalets’ cottage rentals.
Of course, for those seeking something a little more exciting on their summer vacation, Wasaga Beach, North America’s longest freshwater beach, is a mere 15 kilometers away. Also only a 15-minute drive from our chalets for rent is the historic town of Thornbury, known far and wide for its spectacular dining and shopping.
